Bowie’s Injuries & Road to Recovery Pt.3 (Happy Ending)

It had been five months since Bowie injured his cruciate ligament (Read Part 2) and seven months since he was diagnosed with supraspinatus tendinopathy (Read Part 1). Bowie was nearly two years old when he was given a clean bill of health by our vet. YAY!! Our hardwork, patience, rehabilitation sessions and at-home exercises had paid off.

Bowie had been back to training and enjoying his longer walks and off leash (controlled) freedom. For the next few months, he still had to keep up with his cavaletti rails and weaving exercises, to continually strengthen and protect his muscles when he’s fully back running around and being silly.

Check out our DIY cavaletti rails.

Author’s Note: Bowie was nearly two when our vet gave him a clean bill of health. We had been back since to see our vet for his 3 and 6 month checkups. So far so good. Finger-crossed!
